springtime in new york

this picture was taken last week during the freak snow storm. with sleet and snow stinging my eyes i took this photo a few blocks from the empire state building. there it is in the middle, barely a shadow. you can't really see the snow either. and it looks like it's sunny. trust me it really was snowing hard.

great suggestion on ways to have fucked up dreams
go on a really long, never ending car trip with family
deprive yourself of sleep for a few weeks
watch david cronenberg movies
try and get into william burroughs' head

good luck...and pleasent screams!

Ha ha!! What is with the Cronenberg movies-are we INSANE! At least you didn't have the dream where everyone had bugs heads.

Seeing Naked Lunch though has spurned interest in trying to read it again. I'll try to wrap my mind around the concept of trying to read it.

The picture looks like it's a very nice spring day-it's very sweet.

i know, i'm not a huge cronenberg fan, but his stuff works on the mind. it took a couple of years to read lunch, but it's not the sort of thing where you really have to follow a narrative.

i dunno about the pic, i'm too good at adjusting photos now. i should show the original. or a clear day photo where you can totally see the emipre state bldg.

I took the train from Auckland to Dunedin once. It takes three days. All I took to read was Naked Lunch. What a nightmare. It's the kind of book that needs to be read in the same way it was written - bite-size chunks at random.

And, yes, the world is waiting for film reviews. Christopher Lee, virgin sacrifices, and brain tissue - sounds like you guys have been having a Hammer Horror frenzy.

Hey ya Lilly-Melvin is um how do you say, oh so tired and it's all catching up to him and making him depressed. We need to stop watching movies till all hours because our little man rises with the sun. (I don't understand where he gets this because we both are late sleepers. Must have skipped a generation)

Oh wait, now he is on to his 3rd place. It's beginning to be a little freaky. I'm the supportive wife and all. A friend told him the other day, when you start jumping around from job to job, you need to have your own business. It's all coming down to that. We are starting to plan.
